USB-IO32 - Details and applications

The USB-IO32 board provide

  • DIGOUT : 8 relay output 240VAC/10A or 30VDC/10A : SPDT 1-form C (3 points COM, NO, NC per relay)
  • DIGIN    : 8 opto-isolated inout 0/10V - common ground between DIGIN and isolated from others inputs.
  • ANAIN   : 4 analog inputs 0/10V on 10bits - common ground between ANAIN
  • 1 USB 2.0 VCP device with LED communication
  • 1 extension connector to add up to 8 EXT's boards
  • dual power supply connector : Power jack or WP-UPS connector

Based on a powerful 32bits CPU of the latest generation, the card offers exceptional performance at lower price.

Among the main configuration possibilities :

  • each DIGIN input can be configured with or without 32bits counter and each counter can be initialized to a specific value.
  • each ANAIN input has thresholds for low and high switching
  • each DIGOUT output can be set ON/OFF or PULSE mode (100ms to 54hours)
  • each DIGOUT output can be linked to an event defined on a DIGIN, ANAIN or Event calendar.
  • open API to control the card with a home automation box or a dedicated application.

Characteristics

  • DIGOUT : 3 points COM/NO/NC per relay - SPDT - up to 240VAC/10A or 24VDC/10A
  • DIGIN    : 0/10VDC digital input - impedance 1K82
  • ANAIN   : 0/10VDC analog input - impedance 150K
  • software for configuration for Windows(C) XP to Windows 10 - 32 / 64bits
  • Bootloader to easly update the firmware, with buffer for a better security and a backup of the configuration during update.
  • Ultra low consumption : 0.3watt (DIGOUT not activated)
  • Possibility to use the "WP-UPS Backed Supply" or any standard 9VDC 300mA power supply (jack 2.1mm, + center) - the board is not powered by the USB port.
  • Optional Standard DIN 35mm Enclosure, to integrate the card in an electrical panel.
  • Exptension connector for adding up to 8 EXT's boards : EXT-8REL, EXT-8DI, EXT-8DO or EXT-4ANAIN
  • Card dimensions : 143.75x72.50mm

The USB_IO32 board requires an external power supply 9VDC / 300mA (if no extension).

EKO ELECTRONIQUE offers a supply DIN housing with battery backup : even during a power failure, your card will continue to operate and the data will not be lost. The counters continue to count !

ATTENTION :

If you want to switch high voltages (> 50VAC) are NOT allowed to use it without the associated DIN enclosure (DIN-IO32-1).

This card has many applications including the fallowings examples:

  • The DIGOUT outputs can be used to enable/disable an engine, a nozzle, a pump or lights.
  • The DIGIN inputs can be used to control the switches windows or positiojn of the garage door, counting the pulse GAZ, WATER, ELECTICITY counter.
  • The ANAIN inputs can be used to monitor some analog levels, such as light or water level.
